What this policy actually covers.

Florida requires two of these. The rest are decisions, and they are the ones worth an unhurried conversation.

Required by the state means required at the minimum the legislature set, which is not the same as enough. We quote the minimum and a realistic limit side by side so the gap is a decision you make with the figures in front of you.

Bodily injury and property damage liabilityRequired

What you owe the other driver when the fault is yours.

Personal Injury Protection (PIP)Required

Your own medical bills after a crash, no-fault, up to the policy limit.

Uninsured and underinsured motorist

The one we argue hardest for. Florida has one of the highest uninsured-driver rates in the country.

Collision and comprehensive

Your own vehicle, including hail, flood and the tree over the driveway.

Roadside assistance and rental reimbursement

Small money that decides whether a bad morning costs you a day.

Policies bound at the dealership desk

Written and issued while the paperwork on the car is still being signed.

Who it is for, and what moves the price.

Drivers who live in Lee or Collier county and want the policy read to them before they sign it, rather than after a claim. That includes people buying a car in Naples who would rather not take the finance office’s first insurance figure, households running two or three vehicles on one policy, and seasonal residents who garage a car here for part of the year.

It also covers the cases a standard personal policy quietly excludes. If anyone in the household drives for a rideshare or delivery platform, tows a trailer, or lets a teenage driver take the car to school, those are worth saying out loud at the quoting stage. Each has an endorsement that fixes it and a claim that does not get paid without one.

What moves it most

Where the car is garaged. Rates here are set at ZIP-code level, and two households on opposite sides of a county line can be quoted very differently for the same vehicle.

What surprises people

A modern bumper carries sensors. An ordinary repair is now an expensive one, and the vehicle you choose moves the premium more than it used to.

The honest trade

A higher deductible lowers the premium and moves risk back onto you. That is a trade worth making deliberately rather than by default.

What we will not do

Quote the state minimum and call it coverage. We will show it beside a limit that would actually hold, and let you choose.

Sign for the car, walk twenty feet, and drive away insured in your own name. We will also quote a car you have not bought yet, so the figure is on the table while you are still negotiating.

Questions we are asked.

If yours is not here, call the office. Someone will pick up.

Is Personal Injury Protection required in Florida?

Florida is a no-fault state, so drivers are required to carry Personal Injury Protection and Property Damage Liability. PIP pays a share of your own medical costs after a crash regardless of who caused it. Ask us what the current statutory minimums are and whether they are anywhere near enough for what you drive.

Does the Florida minimum include bodily injury liability?

Florida’s compulsory minimum is unusual: for most drivers it does not include bodily injury liability, which is the coverage that pays for injuries you cause to someone else. Without it, one at-fault crash can reach your savings. We quote it as a matter of course and show you what it costs.

Should I add uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage?

Florida has one of the highest uninsured-driver rates in the country, and PIP alone will not make you whole if the other driver has nothing. Uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage steps in when the at-fault driver cannot pay. We price it alongside every quote so you can see the difference.

Can I be insured at the dealership before I drive the car home?

Yes. Two of our four desks sit inside Naples dealerships, so a policy can be written and bound in your name while the paperwork on the car is still being signed. We are also happy to quote a car you have not bought yet, so the insurance figure is on the table while you are still negotiating.

Is rideshare or delivery driving covered by a personal auto policy?

Usually not. Most personal auto policies exclude driving for hire, and the coverage the app provides often leaves gaps between periods. Tell us if you drive for a platform and we will place a policy with the right endorsement, rather than find out after a claim.
